This patch can be found in several varieties (2 shown on this site). Very popular patch. IIRC the cut edge patches were the 1950s and the rolled edge variety was used in the 1960s (at least in 1962). There was also a jacket patch to match.
The varieties are subtle, and I dont know them all. Things to look for include black vs brown stitching along the canoe gunwale, trees touching lettering, number of tree branches, black vs brown stiching on tent flaps,and number of waves in moonlight reflection.
