Description: |
Camp Mohican came to an end in 1975.
After years of use by Trenton State College, a portion of Camp Mohican is now home to the Appalachian Mountain Club. Renamed Mohican Outdoor Center, the camp hosts recreational programs for all ages year-round.
Located in the 70,000-acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, the Mohican Outdoor Center is a great base for exploring this jewel of wilderness outside the urban areas of New York and New Jersey.
Situated on a beautiful 60-acre glacial lake, the camp is one-quarter mile from the Appalachian Trail, with connecting loop trails available for hiking. In addition, Mohican offers swimming, canoeing, cross-country skiing, and year-round Outdoor Adventures and Workshops. The annual summer Family Camp offers staff-led hikes, nature study, field trips, games, swimming, and more, for children and adults of all ages.
