jackmessick Member Join Date: 09.19.2004 Comments: 20	Dating Lake of Isles Scout Reservation Patches The camps first season was 1960, and the patches issued that year had about 6 black trees on it. Starting in 1961, the camps second season, one black tree equaled one year of the camp being open. So a patch with 7 black trees on it was from the 1966 season. In 1970, it would have required 11 trees to be on the patch, so a silver tree was designated for 10 years. Thus, a Silver tree plus five black trees was from the 15th year, 1974. Because of an over-buy of 15th year patches, no 16th or 17th year patches (1975-1976) were issued, although some private purchase patches are known to exist. In 1977, for unknown reasons, the background color of the patch was changed to dark blue, and the formerly black trees had to be changed to green in order to be seen. Also, to save space, gold trees were added to signify 5 years. Starting in 1980, the background color returned to sky blue, but the trees remained silver, gold, and green. In the camps final seasons, the trunks of the trees were made brown. The patch you see here is from the 29th season, 1988.
