This Camp was an original Buttes Area Council Camp from 1932 till its closure in 1952. This particular patch is a 3rd Year Camper Patch. There were a total of 4 with the first having no number. All are alike in shape and color. These are rare. Camp LaPorte is now unwater in a Resevoir called Little Grass Valley maintened by Pacific Gas and Electric. It is by a town of the name of LaPorte, California.
Camp La Porte is the home of Tribe of La Porte the forerunner to Kowaunkamish Lodge 395. After Camp La Porte was closed, Glacial Trails Scout Ranch took its place.
